When starting out, it’s essential to learn how to make a door in Minecraft. Doors allow you to get in and out of your home safely. Without one, your home is at risk of hostile mobs. While it’s definitely easy to just seal yourself off with dirt blocks, making a door is so simple and will make entering and exiting easier. Here’s my quick and easy guide on how to make a door in Minecraft.
Crafting Recipe for a Door
To make wood door, you will always need six planks of any wood species. Doing this will yield you three wood doors.
To make an iron door, you will always need six iron ingots. Doing this will yield you three iron doors. The difference between an iron door and wood door is that an iron door can only be opened by a button, lever, pressure plate, or other connected redstone source.

As of the 1.17.1 Java Edition update, you can build the following doors in Minecraft:
Iron Door
Oak Door
Spruce Door
Birch Door
Jungle Door
