Minecraft: How to Build a Beautiful Dome Base in the Desert

Learn how to build a dome house in Minecraft. Taking place in a desert biome, this house comes furnished with 3 beds, a cozy fireplace, lots of storage, a functional kitchen, and living room for gathering.

Minecraft: How to Build a Beautiful Dome Base in the Desert (Step-by-Step) Tutorial

STEP 1. Layout Dimensions

STEP 2. Flooring

STEP 3. Build the Walls

Build 3 blocks up with smooth quartz on top of the orange outline.

Fill the interior perimeter of the dome with dirt.

Build 2 blocks up with smooth quartz on top of the dirt, then fill the interior perimeter of the dome with dirt.

Build 1 block up with smooth quartz on top of the dirt.

Fill the interior perimeter of the dome with dirt twice as shown above.

Build 1 block on top of the dirt with smooth quartz.

Fill the interior perimeter of the dome with dirt.

Build 1 block on top of the dirt with smooth quartz.

STEP 4. Build the roof

Fill the opening with glass to complete the roof.

STEP 5. Build the Chimney

Start building the chimney with stone bricks, a campfire, and spruce trapdoors.

STEP 6. Add the Doors & Windows

The front (north-facing) of the house features a spruce door.

The (west-facing) side of the house features glass pane.

The back of the house (south-facing) features glass pane.

The (east-facing) side of the house features glass pane.

STEP 9. Furnish the Interior

Remove all the first inside the dome base.
